Large Group and School Tours

Learning CentreDuring the school year, NIWRA offers school children the opportunity to view wildlife, to learn about it and the problems it faces. Guided tours of the center are available March through October. The center offers visitors the Museum of Nature, with hands-on exhibits, and a live nature walk through with a waterfall; the Eagle Flight cage where eagles can be viewed through one-way glass, the extensive Public Viewing area that houses all our non-releasable wildlife, and a Nature Trail around the center’s release pond, depicting B.C. flora. In addition the "Wildlife Learning Centre" offers live animal presentations. The tour will take a good 1 ½ hours depending on student’s age and interest.

A visit to the center could greatly benefit your student’s learning and understanding of wildlife and environmental issues. The nominal fee of $3.15 (includes GST) per child includes a guided tour of the facility, and an adoption of one of our non-releasable residents. Adult supervisors are free at a ratio of 1 adult to 5 children. Above that ratio, adults pay $5.25 (includes GST) each

Large group tours for adults are also available. The cost is $5.25 (includes GST) per person. These tours should also be booked in advance.
